I’ve organised two conferences for Cumbria Museum Consortium in 2014 and 2018.  Planning for a 2020 event was underway when the pandemic hit and is currently postponed. The Consortium is a partnership of three museums, Tullie House Trust, Lakeland Arts and Wordsworth Grasmere, who have worked together with Arts Council England funding since 2012. They work with their local communities and share their skills and knowledge with other museums throughout the country. Their conferences share best practice and learning across the museum sector and attract a national audience.

I’ve managed the Cumbria Tourism Awards since 2011, in partnership with Stacy Hurley and Cath Dutton.  Together, and working with the team at Cumbria Tourism, we manage the awards competition in line with the national Visit England Awards criteria, including developing the entry forms, co-ordinating the robust judging process and feedback to entrants, finalists and winners. We manage the event sponsorship and ticket sales which funds the entire process and manage the grand finale and celebration event with up to 400 guests.
